Emma Gibson is a fashion designer and entrepreneur who is passionate about sustainable design that can be accessible for all. Every original piece is high-quality, stylish clothing that is also environmentally conscious.

Each and every project is approached with the belief that fashion and sustainability should go hand in hand, and with innovation and creativity, we can do good for the Earth and our creative minds.

About Me.

From Raleigh, North Carolina, and a soon-to-be alum of NCSU, I am a designer with a primary goal of improving my planet with my work. Whether that be a smile from someone having a mediocre day, or diverting waste to a landfill, everything I ideate and most often create, has to do some kind of good. Although fashion is not my only passion and creative outlet, I have found that I can impart my design skills to make the most difference as an individual within the textile industry, and that's why I chose to continue my education in the discipline of Fashion and Textile Design. When I create, I create with my entire heart and mind, making sure my pieces reflect my dedication and inspiration each and every time. I hope throughout my portfolio you are able to laugh and become empowered to create your own improvements to your world, as long as we all can inspire each other to make, we have hope.

Education

2019-2023

Fashion and Textile Design

(Fashion Concentration)
Wilson College of Textiles

at North Carolina State University

During my time at university, I had an unparalleled opportunity to grow and learn in a time of immense global challenge. I was lucky enough to have support for my passion of sustainable creativity, which has always been an integral part of my design ethos. Through exploring the impact of the textile industry on our world, I gained an even deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of fashion, society, and the environment. Although sometimes challenging, I think we have all learned that we depend on our community to live a happy and fulfilling life, and I am looking forward to meeting all of those involved in my journey next.

2015-2019

High School Diploma
Raleigh Charter High School

I think many reminisce on their high school days for the wild things they did with their friends and the beginning of their individual expression. This is true for me, but mostly as the insane projects I would take on - from building an industrial screen printing press or opening a booth in an antiques mall. I was able to learn more about Calculus and American History, and most importantly, how I would want to use this knowledge and education to write my own history.
